I loved Prince Rogers Nelson from the moment I first heard his music. He was elegant, eclectic, strange, highly sexual, ambiguous, ahead of his time and incredibly extravagant. He wore makeup, occasionally sang in a falsetto voice and challenged what it means to be a man in modern America and the world. I was lucky to see him live in concert a couple of times and they rank as some of the best concerts of my life. Such a stupidly talented man… he was too sensitive and creative to survive in this world. Go and play some Prince… he is food for your ears, mind and your soul. I also loved his visual aesthetic and his album covers really evoked the music contained within the crystal case ♥ Parade was his 8th studio album… it contained the hit Kiss and was the soundtrack to the movie Under the Cherry Moon that was directed by and starred Prince.
