Faith, the album, was a revelation. It was the first solo album for former Wham frontman George Michael and was released in 1987. I loved George in Wham but Faith propelled him to straight into the limelight and into my teenage dreams. The film clips, music, album art and George himself were utterly fantastic. It was a masterpiece. Not sure if you can tell, but I really love George Michael ♥ The album won many awards, had many hit singles and still has a place in my top 5 albums of all time. With tracks like Faith, Father Figure, I Want Your Sex (Parts 1 & 2) and Kissing a Fool… I spent many hours performing in my lounge room with my hairbrush microphone to imaginary audiences of thousands. I can still remember my killer moves. A thirteen-year-old Cecilia didn’t really know what George was doing in this photo, taken by English photographer Russell Young… was he hiding from the camera? sniffing his armpit? no one knew… but I did know that I wanted George. This album made me pay attention to boys and at the top of my love list was George Michael ♥♥♥
